The ideal candidate will have accounting experience working with billing, preferably in a utility firm, but not required. Must be capable of independently performing assigned financial and accounting functions including project setup, client invoicing, project cost and revenue analysis, and support to management. Must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 5 + years of accounting experience, minimum Previous project cost accounting experience preferred Associates Degree/Certificate in Accounting, minimum ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms, listing items sold and services performed, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of performance. Project initiation, maintenance, and closeout in Oracle. Prepare rate recalculations and cost data analyses; post invoices, credits and adjustments into Oracle. Prepare project cost, revenue, unbilled/unearned reconciliations and analyses. Provide ad-hoc reports for internal and external customers as requested. Responsible for maintenance of all financial records for assigned projects. Provide accounting and financial support to management, including financial reports and account analyses. Serve as contact for selected clients on collection of accounts receivable.
