NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TOWN OF KREMMLING
TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Kremmling, Colorado will conduct its regular municipal election on Tuesday, the 7th day of April, 2020 (Election Day). The election will be conducted as a mail ballot election.

Voters may return their ballot by mail or by dropping it off at Kremmling Town Hall, 200 Eagle Avenue, PO Box 538, Kremmling, CO 80459 on weekdays between 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots received after 7 p.m. on Election Day will not be counted. Postmarks do not count as a received date.

Mail ballot packets will be mailed between March 16-23. If you do not receive a mail ballot packet by March 24, please call Town Hall at (970) 724-3249 for instructions on receiving a replacement ballot.

Qualifications of persons voting in the election are: Every person who is registered to vote; has attained the age of 18 years; is a citizen of the United States; is a resident of Kremmling and has resided in the State for twenty-two days immediately preceding the election shall be permitted to cast a ballot.

At the election, the registered electors of the Town will vote for three (3) candidates to serve as Trustees on the Kremmling Board of Trustees for 4-year terms. The candidates nominated are:

• Peter Moschonas
• Jason Wikberg
• Jim Miller
• Dave Sammons
At the election, the registered electors of the Town
of Kremmling will also vote on the following ballot measures:

BALLOT ISSUE 1A
SHALL TOWN OF KREMMLING TAXES BE INCREASED BY $100,000 (FIRST FULL FISCAL YEAR INCREASE) AND ANNUALLY THEREAFTER IN SUCH AMOUNTS AS ARE RECEIVED EACH YEAR BY IMPOSING AN ADDITIONAL SALES
TAX OF 5% ON THE SALE OF RETAIL MARIJUANA AND RETAIL MARIJUANA PRODUCTS, WITH THE RATE OF THE TAX BEING ALLOWED TO BE INCREASED OR DECREASED WITHOUT FURTHER VOTER APPROVAL SO LONG AS THE RATE OF TAXATION DOES NOT EXCEED 10%, AND WITH ALL REVENUES DERIVED FROM SUCH TAX TO BE COLLECTED, RETAINED AND SPENT FOR ANY LAWFUL MUNICIPAL PURPOSE; AND SHALL THE TOWN BE PERMITTED TO COLLECT, RETAIN AND EXPEND ALL REVENUES DERIVED FROM SUCH SALES TAX AS A VOTER-APPROVED REVENUE CHANGE AND AN EXCEPTION TO LIMITS WHICH WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY UNDER ARTICLE X SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION OR ANY OTHER LAW?

Shall the Town Board lift the current ban on retail and medical marijuana sales in the Town of Kremmling, and begin to craft a new ordinance allowing
retail marijuana stores and medical marijuana centers/dispensaries within the Town of Kremmling with such restrictions as seen fit by the Board of Trustees and discussed at public meeting(s)?
